I want depictions of happy Bisexual women in tv. Happily in monogamous relationships. Happy in polyamorous relationships. Happy single.
I’m sick of depictions of Bi women as lonely, confused, insecure, and scared.
Celebrity comes out as gay: OMG HOORAY THEY’RE BRAVE HOW AWESOME PARTY TIME OMG I KNEW IT THIS IS AMAZING I’M SO HAPPY I GOT SO MANY TEARS.
Celebrity mentions they had a same sex relationship: GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY OMG HOORAY THEY’RE BRAVE HOW AWESOME GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY PARTY TIME OMG I KNEW…
Everyday I get asked a questions about how I or the general lesbian population feels about bisexual people. It surprises me that there are so many bisexual girls out there that are scared to admit to a lesbian that they are bi. It got me thinking about the topic and I would like to make a post…
A friend got this for me as a surprise, and I’m just… crying.
I’ve had the worst week that I’ve had in years, with today being especially painful. And to get this out of the blue today seems divine, almost.
And when I opened the book, that doodle is the first one I saw and it means so much to me. It’s very relevant, and is a gentle but soothing reminder.
Thank you for being so wonderful, Emm <3
Thank you so much! I hope things are getting better for you. *hugs you*

Disabled Young Adult Seeking Help!
I’m 23, disabled, homeless, and I desperately need help to pay for my medication that is running out this week.My name’s Shayne (Shay). I’m trans*/non-binary, disabled, have zero income/financial support, a service animal, and I have no place to live right now.
I suffer from a number of disorders and syndromes including:
• Ehler-danlos syndrome
• cold urticaria
• adrenal insufficiency
• Hashimoto’s thyroiditis
• postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome
• poly cystic ovarian syndrome
• neuropathy nos
• major depressive disorder
I’m largely immobile and cannot work. Neither one of my biological family’s homes are a safe place for me to go. This is for a multitude of reasons.
I was promised to receive my share of an apartment deposit (total was $800) from my ex. Along with the payment for a parking ticket ($100) on my father’s car that they had gotten.
I was kind enough to understand financial stress and allow spread out payments.
When I had found out that they had been lying/cheating all 2.3 years we’d been together, they decided that “I didn’t deserve it anymore.” In addition to losing that money, I lost them and their family as my only support system.
I have no money apart from some pocket change. I’m currently living in a motel paid for by Salvation Army until Tuesday morning, and after that my service cat and I only have my car to live in.
Being in Wisconsin and sleeping in my car is dangerous because of the cold. Worse yet, something in my car is misfiring, meaning that until I can get it fixed with an electrical tuneup ($300 estimated), it’s practically useless and even more dangerous to live in.
To give you an idea of my expenses: my anxiety meds cost $1 flat through DHS, which is a blessing, but my pain medication is extremely important for me to have and runs around $89. My total cost of medications per month is around $175 and total cost of living is about $300, not including rent or personal items.
I’m asking Tumblr for help because I don’t know what to do until my disability determination is made, and that could take a very long time.
I thankfully have food stamps, but I need to find a way to keep paying for a place to stay that’s heated and safe, and most importantly, my medication. These past months have been extremely difficult and I need help.
I have a few friends from college willing to take my service animal and I in, but this would require my car fixed and all medications sorted out as they live across the country.
I’m willing to show my medical record, prove of income, anything to prove that this is genuine.
If you’re able to donate to help me, please, please message me.
I can now take PayPal donations at:
Any help is appreciated so much and once I am able to feel like I am in a safe and healthy environment; I am confident that I can win the fight against these illnesses. I promise that whatever happens; I will spend my time creating some sort of non-profit with the goal of helping young adults in similar situations.
Thank you again,
I’m running our of meds starting the day after tomorrow. Please anyone….
It could happen to anyone. People bury a person alive to scare them or to get rid of them. In this situation, rely only on yourself.
- Do not waste oxygen. In a classic coffin there’s only enough oxygen for about an hour, maybe two. Inhale deeply, exhale very slowly. Once inhaled - do not swallow, or you will start to hyperventilate. Do not light up lighters or matches, they will waste oxygen. Using a flashlight is allowed. Screaming increases anxiety, which causes increased heartbeat and therefore - waste of oxygen. So don’t scream.
- Shake up the lid with your hands. In some cheap low-quality coffins you will be able to even make a hole (with an engagement ring or a belt buckle.)
- Cross your arms over your chest, holding onto your shoulders with your hands, and pull the shirt off upward. Tie it in a knot above your head, like so: This will prevent you from suffocating when the dirt falls on your face.
- Kick the lid with your legs. In some cheap coffins the lid is broken or damaged already after being buried, due to the weight of the ground above it.
- As soon as the lid breaks, throw and move the dirt that falls through in the direction of your feet. When it takes up a lot of space, try pressing the ground to the sides of the coffin with your legs and feet. Move around a bit.
- Whatever you do - your main goal is to sit up: dirt will fill up the empty space and move to your advantage, so no matter what - do not stop and try breathing steadily and calmly.
- Get up. Remember: the dirt in the grave is very loose, so battling your way up will be easier than it seems. It’s the other way around during a rainy weather however, since water makes dirt heavy and sticky.
You know what’s awesome? The simultaneously thrilling and terrifying sight of the impossibly massive talons belonging to a mighty Harpy Eagle. This humbling photo was recently shared by Redditor louiebaur. To get an even better sense of just how big these talons are, click here for a comparison image.
And remember, it’s not just the length and sharpness of those talons that are fearsome, the strength of the eagle’s grip is enough to break arm bones or crush a hand. So yes, that’s a lot of avian awesomeness in one photo. Let’s hope that whoever is touching those talons with their fragile human fingers is awfully good friends with that particular eagle.
Ok, so i’m not trying to get you to pity me, but I felt the need to address this. I’m a size 0-2 (depends on the store), and I weigh less than 100 pounds. I eat what I want, exercise regularly, participate in PE, and my doctors say I am at a healthy weight for my height (i’m barely 5 feet). I constantly get called anorexic behind my back, when in reality I am very healthy. I eat veggies, fruit, protein, all that good stuff. But I also eat cakes, cookies, snickers, candies, ice cream, etc. And no, I do not throw it all up. It’s just the way I am, I was born with this body type. But something I’ve been noticing on Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, and in real life, is that when people are trying to defend and comfort someone more curvy, often times we just insult people who are slim. Sometimes that evolves into stereotyping people who are slim to be anorexic, ugly, and just disgusting. Now, don’t get me wrong, I have absolutely nothing against people with curves. I think everyone is beautiful, but this just pisses me off so much. I mean, I’m starting to feel bad about being slim! What I want everyone reading this to remember is that
- not all slim people have an eating disorder
- never insult another group of people to defend another
- except all body types
- there is such a thing as skinny shaming, and it needs to stop

MOTHERFUCKING THANK YOU

HEY IMPORTANT THING. I just got this email:
BIG NEWS: President Obama just announced that he is taking major action against sexual assault by creating a presidential task force to fight rape on college campuses.1
Having the President on our side is huge at a moment when sexual assault on college campuses has reached an epidemic level. Right now, 1 in 5 women will be assaulted or raped during college.2
For over a year now, the UltraViolet community—that’s you!—has been taking action together to tackle rape culture and stand up for survivors. Together with our allies, we’ve helped bring the epidemic of sexual assault on college campuses into the spotlight and called on the Administration to address it.
That’s why the White House wants to know what solutions YOU want to see. As an advocate who has spoken out for survivors before, your input is valuable. This is a major opportunity to be heard by the President and White House.
Can you take 3 minutes to fill out a short, easy survey about what you think the Presidential Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault should do? We’ll deliver your response to the White House next week.
Presidential commissions have a mixed record—some have faded into historical footnotes, while others have changed the course of our country’s history. For example, President Reagan’s HIV/AIDS task force led to increased funding for drug trials and an end to federal discrimination against those who are HIV-positive.3
We know that searches for solutions to sexual assault and rape can end up victim-blaming instead of holding attackers accountable. It’s why we’re bombarded by media figures that blame alcohol, twerking, and teenage naivete for rape instead of the rapists.4 And just last year, campus after campus—from Yale to USC—was called out for mishandling rape cases.5
When colleges don’t take rape accusations seriously, it discourages survivors from reporting. Only 12% of survivors report the assault, and it’s more often the survivors rather than their attackers who drop out of school.6
A federal task force will create uniform guidelines that colleges should follow to stop sexual assault and punish rapists. Data and research is helpful, but input from citizens who care and know about the problem is critical to finding the right solutions.
Last year, Ultraviolet members spoke out and demanded the Department of Education start holding campuses accountable for failing to uphold Title IX—the federal law that bans sexual discrimination in education, including sexual assault. From Steubenville, Ohio, and Maryville, Missouri, to Yale University, you’ve spoken out time and again to demand justice for survivors who have been swept aside by school authorities, law enforcement, and their communities. Now the President himself is demanding more be done, and he wants to hear from you.
Thanks for speaking out.
—Nita, Shaunna, Kat, Karin, Malinda, Adam, and Gabriela, the UltraViolet team
This is super big!
Share any stories, even from friends or even if you haven’t actually been assaulted. Like I was actually stalked by and sent very vulgar and graphic messages from a male classmate more than twice my age when I was in college, and the school did nothing to protect me other than tell the man to stop talking to me, and it was the third time he’d done that to female classmates. I literally had to have someone chaperone me to and from my car because I was so scared of this guy.
SHIT, SOMETHING GOOD HAPPENING IN AMERICA!?
SIGNAL BOOST THE SHIT OUT OF THIS.
This only gained 2,000 notes overnight.
I have seen meaningless gifsets do better.
For being all about the social justice you’re sort of slacking tumblr.
You have a chance to actually have a hand in some good change rather than sit idly and complain and 26k is all the notes?
Glow in the dark penis post has like 7million or something…
